The “FALSO”, translated: fake, project explores how our imagination creates narratives based solely on observation, often without knowing the truth. Through grainy and blurred images, it challenges the idea that clarity defines a photograph’s value, drawing inspiration from photographers like Duane Michals and Richard Avedon.
The four images, originally part of a single photograph, are exhibited together to form a complete work that questions perception and the concept of visual truth.

The captions and stories of every single portrait are totally false and invented. This project explores the ease with which we can create and believe imaginary narratives based only on what we see.
The use of grainy and blurred images serves to recall the idea that we can create stories, but we do not know the details of the person observed.
